This year I wanted to save the big bird for our big Christmas get together with our families hosted at our house. Instead I opted for Seared Lamb Chops over a bed of spinach pasta and served with Melanzane Sotto'olio (recipe compliments of Chris/Lou Nasso, a kind of Italian side dish featuring pickled eggplant. Because El's mom brought over alot of fresh vegetables I also made for the first time a Ginger Carrot Squash soup pureed with dill and sour cream. It ended up being the surprise hit. Tasty!
