With the day still early on we wanted to make amends of Friday’s debacle and make our way south towards Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty. Uncle Ernie had informed us that taking the ferry to the island was a waste since it’s so huge you can’t even see it from the ground and since they closed down the tour leading up to the torch.
