Without wanting to get too crazy with the celebration I kept it fairly simple this year. I invited Rachel over to grill out with us and watch some fireworks. El had to work, so i wanted to have the food ready when she got home. I even bought some simple ground fireworks and sparklers for Isa to play with. Dinner was simple - steaks, hotdogs, corn on the cob, watermelon, and some beers.

A Visit From Lolo and Lola
I was so glad to see my parents come down for a weekend visit. I didn't realize how much I had missed seeing them until they arrived. I also know they've been wanting to see their granddaughter for a long time, but schedules and opportunities have be few and far between.
During the middle of the week mom called to let me know they were driving down for a few days. The first day I took my mother out shopping with Isa while my dad rested. By the end of the shopping trip Isa was in my mom's arms, which made her very happy I'm sure. She got another chance to spend with her when Rachel and I took dad out to Tampa to the Hard Rock Casino to gamble. Afterwards we closed the night out by watching Manny Pacquio, the filipino champion boxer, beat the hell out of someone and winning yet ANOTHER belt in the WBC. Such a great fight. I don't like most sports, but I'm a sucker for a good boxing match and this one didn't disappoint.
Dad's time bonding with Isa was a little easier. He bought her a dvd player for the car and she was instantly enraptured by the fact that she could now watch Finding Nemo in dad's Infiniti. Saturday was spent going to the farmer's market in Winter Park and taking them out to eat. By Sunday El was off and I had to do my turn working. She took them out for a bit and to lunch. It was a stress-free weekend and I enjoyed spending time with them.

Great Fun While It Lasted...
I've been on the fence with selling my boat this past year. It's terrible when you can't use it and still have to pay for storage, maintenance checks, etc. But when the weather is great and I have the time nothing i better than being out on the coast going for a cruise.
Well it's time to let this last indulgence go the way of the Spyder convertible. With a second baby on the way and El not working for a few months prudence demands I use my head.

So if you know of anyone interested in buying a 19.5' Center Console boat fully loaded pass the word and/or link along. Come check it out here ! I'm selling it for $11,500 but I'm willing to negotiate.
